_This page is intended to give an overview of my work. I am a senior researcher at the Donders Institute for Brain Cognition and Behaviour, in Nijmegen.

Some of my work is on co-speech gestures and language (with Peter Hagoort and Asli Ozyurek), on the neural basis of communicative action generation (with Ivan Toni), and on the influence of bodily experience on semantic representations (with Daniel Casasanto). We also wrote about the embodiment of language understanding and on the relation between language and communicative abilities in the brain (with Rosemary Varley).
